The architects Sofia Neves and Bruno Figueiredo materialized their passion for geometric shapes and created the lighting brand Meshe. At the moment, there are three customizable lamps that customers can assemble, selling exclusively online at Etsy.
The name Meshe was inspired by the English word “mesh”, with an ‘e’ in the end in order to pursue a relationship with the Portuguese word,” says Sofia. “We are interested in the process of involvement of the person who will use the lamp,” she adds. This is, by the way, the best feature that distinguishes these from other lighting brands already on the market.
Whoever buys the lamp has to mount it, as instructed, but is not required to follow an order watertight, as there are different combinations possible. Customers can also choose the color of the power line within the range available, according to the division where you want to place.
The Meshe lamps are on sale a few weeks ago, the online store in three different models. The simplest is priced at 65 euros and more complex costs 90 euros. In between there is a model of 75 euros.
Meshe gladly accepts suggestions for new combinations of colors and mounting. New models can come to life!
