Villow – A different pillow design

Today we talk about a project that was born this year at the hands of Andreia Constantino, a graphic designer who has always worked in design and advertising agencies but that created Villow and will tell us about that project.

“When spent afternoons talking with my grandmother while she was forming skirts, pants and coats, and sewed everything and anything, did not think those afternoons would be so important 20 years later. Probably my passion for creating began with these conversations with my grandmother.

A good few years later, in college, I chose to study design and had the opportunity to meet all its areas, from graphic, industrial and interior. I opted to have the straw in Graphic Design and today I think I made the right choice, despite having always been with the pet of the interiors.

When I moved house, was addicted to design and everything that relates to it, I wanted to decorate it to my liking. One of the things at home was that miss pillows. Like, beyond the knowledge of sewing, I inherited the sewing machine from my grandmother, I decided to work with it.

The first step, as with any creative process, was doing my briefing and decide what you want to see on my couch all day. Then came the idea to create the No Pantone, they are not Pantone, but CMYK (4 colors that make up any of the others, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). I bought the tissues, sent to printing, sewed and there they were, ready to decorate my house. According to the critics, fairly positive, my creation so spontaneous could give fruits. I posted on my personal Facebook profile and had an order! And so began the Villow.

Since then, my life has changed. The Villow began to grow and orders too. As I work in an advertising agency during the day, I just dedicate to my project at the end of the day and the weekend. But despite not being easy to reconcile all, I am very proud to be creating my own brand.”
